# Open a Long Position

### About

Taking a long position means you are betting on a price increase. In this case a loan is taken out in a stablecoin (or other quote asset) to buy more of the asset with the goal of making a profit when the price moves up. 

### **Step-by-step guide**

1. Select a pool with the desired asset on the main screen of the app. 
2. Input margin amount (1), choose leverage (2) and press Long button (3)
